Pan-am Myeon-ok

A long-established naengmyeon restaurant in Pan-am-dong with a storied history. Like many naengmyeon establishments, it serves myeon-su (noodle broth) instead of water, which aids digestion before eating cold naengmyeon. The basic side dish is pickled radish, which has a tangy flavor that pairs perfectly with naengmyeon. Pan-am Myeon-ok serves Pyongyang-style naengmyeon made with domestic Bongpyeong buckwheat flour and chicken. It features a rich and mild chicken broth topped with shredded chicken, and the seasoning is quite savory, making it more flavorful than typical Pyongyang naengmyeon, which tends to be bland.
