Panam Myeonok

A legendary naengmyeon restaurant in Panam-dong with a long history. Like many naengmyeon establishments, it serves myeonsoo (noodle broth) instead of water, which soothes the stomach before eating cold naengmyeon. The basic side dish is pickled radish, which has a tangy flavor that pairs perfectly with naengmyeon. Panam Myeonok serves Pyongyang-style naengmyeon made with domestic Bongpyeong buckwheat flour and chicken. It features rich and mild chicken broth topped with shredded chicken, and the seasoning is quite savory, making it more flavorful than typical Pyongyang naengmyeon without being bland.
